All accidents are preventable, and we aim to achieve Zero Harm with every employee, contractor and visitor returning home safely each day. Only through effective implementation of health and safety policies will Hummingbird succeed in timely and cost-effective development and production.
Occupational Health and Safety Management Plans are developed for each and every operation reflecting local applicable laws and regulations, international best practice requirements, regular risk assessments, application of the mitigation hierarchy, and adaptive management processes that emphasise prevention and training to control risks.
|Zero Harm||Is possible no matter where we work|
|No Repeats||All necessary steps will be taken to learn from incidents, audit findings and other nonconformances to prevent their recurrence|
|Continuous Improvement||Is essential. We must learn, adapt, anticipate and prevent recurrence|
|Simplicity and Consistency||Are the basis for exceptional performance across our business wherever we work|
Hummingbird requires its consultants, contractors, suppliers and subsidiaries to all adopt the principles of the Group Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Project Management Plans as a minimum standard. With the transition from construction to operations and the development of the site safety culture, Hummingbird aims to reduce LTIFR to below 1.2, and TRIFR to below 2.5.
For recent LTIFR , please see our quarterly updates here.
